Resera reduces costs by 25% within weeks of replacing stand-alone SFA application with NetSuite
SAN MATEO, CA.—June 12, 2003—NetLedger, Inc., makers of Oracle® Small Business Suite, today announced that Resera, Inc., a national real estate ASP based in Oakland, Calif., has standardised its entire business operation—from sales, marketing and support to financials, accounting and payroll—on NetSuite. NetSuite is the most widely used integrated CRM/ERP suite for mid-size enterprises. The Oracle Small Business Suite name is used under license from Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ: ORCL).
Frustrated with the fact that Salesforce.com doesn't allow the sales team to enter and invoice orders without complex integration to back-office systems, Resera decided to switch to NetSuite. With NetSuite, Resera now has one single system to handle the end-to-end sales process, from quote to contract to cash. In addition, NetSuite's Real-time Dashboards provide Resera executives a clear view of key business metrics and detail across the entire company. Within weeks of implementation, NetSuite enabled Resera to reduce costs by 25%. Resera expects to increase its sales by 40% in the forthcoming quarter due to the increased visibility into its sales process and efficiency gained by managing their marketing campaigns via NetSuite.
"Having a real-time view across our entire company is extremely important and I can't achieve this by jumping in and out of different systems continually," said Courtenay Yates, Vice President and General Manager of Resera, Inc. "Salesforce.com tried to convince us to use their APIs to tie together other accounting and Web systems, but we don't have the time or desire to hire an army of software programmers to try to implement this unproven technology. With NetSuite, Resera has detailed, real-time views of every aspect of our company. And I didn’t have to turn my ASP based real estate focused solutions firm into an internally focused software development company to get access to my core business data."
"Small and mid-sized businesses don't want to go through the pain of using different software packages to run their operations. It's no less painful or costly for a mid-size enterprise to integrate Salesforce.com with Great Plains than it is for a Fortune 500 company to integrate SAP with Siebel," said Zach Nelson, CEO of NetLedger.
The software applications utilised by most small and mid-sized companies do not allow business processes to run seamlessly across front- and back-office functions. These companies run their business on separate, expensive software packages – one for accounting, one for warehousing, one for sales force management and one for customer support. Additionally, the ongoing cost of running the software and integrating data from such multiple, incompatible systems has been high.
