NetSuite receives more "excellent" ratings than SalesForce.com, Microsoft CRM in head-to-head comparison
SAN MATEO, CA.—May 15, 2003—NetLedger, Inc., today announced that in a review of midmarket CRM solutions, its NetSuite application received the most scores of "Excellent," surpassing all competitors including Salesforce.com and Microsoft CRM (Nasdaq: MSFT). This detailed review, from industry-leading publication eWeek, recognises NetSuite's capabilities by saying "Compared with other midmarket hosted CRM solutions, NetLedger's application is in a class by itself." The award-winning NetSuite application is built on the foundation of Oracle Small Business Suite. The Oracle Small Business Suite name is used under license from Oracle Corporation (Nasdaq: ORCL).
The review, titled "Integration Key to CRM Success," grades features in CRM products. In the category of Usability, often cited as the key attribute for successful adoption of CRM solutions, NetLedger outscored both salesforce.com and the MS CRM. NetSuite's usability features are unmatched in any other on-line solution. Particularly powerful are NetSuite's Windows-like navigation with drop down menus, customizable real-time dashboards, and configurable user-specific roles. NetSuite also received an Excellent in the category of Manageability, outscoring both salesforce.com and MS CRM.
According to a recent survey in CRM Magazine, the biggest issue facing companies implementing CRM is front-office and back-office system integration (Source: CRM Magazine, January 2003). On the subject of front-office/back-office integration, the review said of NetSuite, "None of the other systems we tested has the same kind of tight module integration." NetSuite's integration allows users to do things other on-line and off-line CRM offerings do not, such as create sales estimates and orders directly from the system; check inventory stock levels; forecast demand for products; and create, host and manage eCommerce sites. When discussing salesforce.com's integration capabilities, the article indicated, "And Salesforce.com's back-office integration strategy is more of an afterthought...."
"Stand alone, non-integrated business software applications are dead, regardless of whether those applications are delivered as hosted or self-managed applications," said Zach Nelson, president and CEO of NetLedger. "NetSuite is the only solution that integrates CRM, ERP and on-line operations in a single application, allowing midmarket companies to go from contact to contract to cash in record time."
