Driven by the belief that great design shouldn’t demand deep pockets, brothers Basil and Geoff Karam began sourcing and importing modern designer furniture to the Australian market through eBay in 2006. The duo opened a 70-square-meter retail store in Sydney in 2009, and implemented NetSuite’s small business edition JCurve ERP to replace disparate MYOB accounting and Excel-based inventory and order management processes—a decision that would help catapult them from a turnover of $50,000 a year to a forecasted $15M in 2018.

“One of our goals is to build a truly omnichannel retail experience for our customers, that’s possible through the use of NetSuite. This level of integration will no doubt put us ahead of our much larger competitors.” Basil Karam, Founder, Life Interiors

LEARN HOW CLOUD ERP CAN STREAMLINE YOUR BUSINESS.
Recently upgrading from JCurve ERP to the NetSuite Wholesale Distribution edition, the software manages 5,000 SKUs and 120 different suppliers across online and instore, B2B and B2C channels. End-to-end visibility led to increased efficiencies and delivered access to real-time data that allowed the opening of two new, 750-square-meter showrooms in Sydney and Melbourne, and accelerated plans to expand to Dubai.
In the last three years since implementing NetSuite, Life Interiors has tripled its order volume with minimal increase in overhead. With a single view of inventory for online and offline channels, it can coordinate accurate fulfillment and on-time delivery across B2B and B2C channels with ease.
Life Interiors has plans to create high level, personalized and innovative customer experiences to help foster brand loyalty, including sharing with customers real-time data on everything from stock levels to lead times and experimenting with creative technologies to bridge the gap between offline and online shopping channels, an example of which is the integration of Google Local Inventory Ads directly into NetSuite.
