SAN MATEO, Calif.—August 13, 2014—NetSuite Inc. (NYSE: N), the industry's leading provider of cloud-based financials / ERP and omnichannel commerce software suites, today announced that NetSuite.org was honoured with an All-Star of Service Award at the Points of Light and A Billion + Change 2014 Conference on Volunteering and Service, for the creative and comprehensive pro bono initiative it has developed for NetSuite employees, and for being an overall engaged and enthusiastic member of the Billion + Change pro bono community.
NetSuite.org combines NetSuite's cloud-based business management suite with the industry expertise of its employees to create solutions for organisations seeking to expand and extend their social impact. Through product donations, deep discounts and pro bono services to qualified charities and social enterprises, NetSuite.org aims to help nonprofit organisations run their businesses more effectively. Using NetSuite eases the burden of maintaining software and allows organisations to focus on their core mission. Resources that were once spent on activities like creating spreadsheets, assembling reports and tracking donors with cumbersome systems have been reinvested into social impact program work.
Under SuiteVolunteers, the NetSuite.org Pro Bono program, recipients of a NetSuite product donation can apply for services from NetSuite employees who have agreed to donate their time and NetSuite expertise to help grantees operate effectively, increasing the impact of what these charities aim to achieve. On a quarterly basis, NetSuite employees team up to deliver projects to the NetSuite.org grantee community. These projects range from customizations of the platform to outbound marketing strategies. Employee volunteers focus on developing and executing the solutions, while also teaching the grantees how to utilise the tool to maximise the value of their NetSuite cloud solution.
Since the program's launch in January of 2013, nearly 400 employees representing 16 NetSuite global offices have participated, providing 150 pro bono projects to organisations located around the world.
"We're thrilled to be recognised for the work we've done to establish pro bono as a signature of the NetSuite employee experience. We're proud of all the work our NetSuite employees have done to create positive change," said Erin Dieterich, Director of Corporate Citizenship at NetSuite. "We plan to continue to help nonprofits and social enterprises better run their operations and focus on their core mission by providing them with innovative programs and a commitment to service."
Since its founding in 2008, the NetSuite.org corporate citizenship program has empowered more than 400 nonprofits and social enterprises around the globe with tools to amplify their impact in making the world a better place.
